New Videos on Education Progression

The Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA) has launched a new video series on education progression and the implementation of the four promising models identified in the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action Action Coalitions' Learning Collaborative. The CCNA asked nurse expert consultants to provide additional insights in a video series and make themselves available for further discussion on the web.

The Center to Champion Nursing in America has recently released a set of twenty-four video interviews with various nurses serving on boards. The website also includes a link to a complementary PowerPoint presentation that highlights the importance and significance of nurses taking up these type of leadership roles.

Center to Champion Nursing in America Releases Latest E-Newsletter

This week, the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA), an initiative of AARP, the AARP Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, released the second edition of its Champion Nursing Quarterly News Digest.  This latest edition addresses the role of nurses in health care reform, including meeting the increased demand as more patients enter the health care system.

To Improve Patient Care, Remember the Nurses

Health Affairs and the Center to Champion Nursing in America convened a high-level Forum in June, bringing together nursing leaders, health care experts and policy-makers to consider the nursing workforce in the 21st Century, and offer recommendations to expand nurse education.
