For 11 years, the National Patient Safety Foundation (NSPF) has led hospitals and health care organizations around the world in demonstrating their commitment to patient safety by recognizing the first week in March as Patient Safety Awareness Week. This is the perfect time to re-energize staff, educate and engage patients, and demonstrate your organization’s commitment to patient safety.
This year’s theme is Patient Safety 7/365: 7 days of recognition, 365 days of commitment to safe care. This is a week to recognize the advancements that have been made in the patient safety arena, while acknowledging the challenges that remain—and committing to working on them, every day.
