Finding A First Job Not Easy For New Nurses

For those of you that are regular readers of the INQRI blog, this story continues our focus on the difficult that new nurses are having entering the workforce. Even though there has been numerous reports suggesting that there is a significant need for more highly trained nurses, many new nurse graduates are having difficulty finding entry-level positions.

Annie Baxter, reporting for Marketplace Money, a program on American Public Media, covered this topic by interviewing current nurses, nurse researchers and economists as to why new nurses graduates are having such difficult obtaining employment and how the nursing field can accommodate for this much needed injection of young caregivers.
