Commission to Build a Healthier America

Tomorrow, June 19 at 9 a.m. ET, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Commission to Build a Healthier America is meeting in Washington, D.C., kicking off deliberations to identify actions the nation should take to improve health in two key areas: early childhood and healthy communities.

Join the event via live webcast to hear testimony from some of the nation’s pre-eminent experts. RWJF President and CEO Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, MD, will deliver the keynote address on the Foundation's vision for a healthier America.

To help inform the Commission’s work, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will release: Overcoming Obstacles to Health in 2013 and Beyond from the UCSF Center on Social Disparities in Health; Collaboration to Build Healthier Communities: A Report for the RWJF Commission to Build a Healthier America from Wilder Research and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis; and testimony from eight panelists. These materials will be available as part of the event webcast on www.rwjf.org/goto/commission.
